·      Cause less skin irritation – because they contain very low level of potentially irritating surfactants (less than one tenth of the amount found in most conventional creams). This is a very important advantage when products are applied to vulnerable skin, such as neonates or psoriasis sufferers.

·      Are made at cold (ambient) temperatures, by highly efficient manufacturing procedures needing no specialist equipment. Not only is batch to batch consistency of manufacture extremely high, but low temperature manufacture greatly reduces the chance of heat-sensitive actives being damaged during the manufacturing process compared with conventional cream and lotion manufacture.
