Elsebeth Budolfsen MSc, is the Chairman of DDS. She has more than 20 years of top-management experience from the healthcare industry. A previous Danish Business Woman of the Year she has been President of Alk-Abello A/S, Executive Vice President of The Christian Hansen Group and Managing Director of T-cellic A/S. Ms Budolfsen serves on the board of several young companies active in the biotech field.
Anette Clausen is a non executive director and represents the interests of shareholders MC2 Biotek aps and Elsweb aps in the Company.
Steve Lenon* PhD is one of the founders of DDS and acts as Principal Scientist for the Company. He graduated with a first class degree in Applied Chemistry from Salford University in 1978 and has been awarded both an MSc and PhD in Colloid Science by Bristol University. He worked for many years with ICI before joining Disperse/DDS in 2000. He is an expert in dispersion and colloid science and has extensive knowledge of both solvent-borne and water-borne polymer synthesis. Dr. Lenon is a committee member of the Controlled Release Society and the author of several patents.
Steen Sindet-Pedersen* Dr Med Sci, D.D.S., graduated for Aarhus University Denmark 1979. Specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 1979-1984. Dr.Med Sci. Aarhus University Denmark 1993.Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Aarhus University and University Hospital 1993. Professor and Head of Department of Oral and Maxilofacial Implantology, Eastman Dental Institute, UCL, London 1998-2003. Principal investigator and senior scientific advisor Scirex Clinical Trials/ UCL Analgesia Centre 1999-2006. Since the early 1980’s worked with pharmaceutical industry as an advisor on clinical research and drug development. Currently scientific and business development advisor to MC2 Biotek and Drugmode and CEO for Drug Delivery Solutions Leatherhead, UK.
Richard Twydell* FCA is one of DDS’s founders and acts as Finance and Administration Director. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974 and has over 30 years business experience in general and financial management including working in the City, overseas, in Government and developing SMEs. He joined Disperse/DDS in 2000. He is a Director of a number of companies.
Derek Wheeler* MSc is one of the founders of DDS and acts as Technical Director with specific responsibility to develop new products and ideas. After obtaining degrees in Chemistry and Physiology at London University in 1963 he began a career in analytical chemistry, product formulation, process engineering, marketing and general management for a number of major cosmetic and pharmaceutical manufactures. He founded Disperse in 1997 to develop patents he had taken out exploiting characteristics of polyaphrons. Derek enjoys an international reputation as a leading dispersion scientist and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists where he is an examination question setter and marker. He has been called as an expert witness and has widely written and lectured on dispersion issues and is the author of a number of patents.
